Stormboard: why not try to brainstorm together!

Image
It has been many weeks since I published my first blog. If you can see this one and decide to read it, I bet you really love my blogs and have checked many times to find something new! This time I am going to introduce an online collaboration tool called Stormboard .  You know what? I took part in many market competitions in my undergraduate period. I got exhausted from having meetings with team members for hours to discuss the themes of the advertising case planning. We raised our own ideas separately and then the other team members commented on the ideas until we got one theme that was acceptable to all the members. We didn't use any tools to record the discussion process or organize different ideas. When I look back at how we carried out the discussion, I found it a little bit hilarious because we were always in chaosπŸ˜‚. If I knew the existence of Stormboard at that time, we would have carried out the meetings in a smoother way. (Click here to go to the website and try it ...

WebQuest: have you ever heard of it?

Have you ever heard of a WebQuest? For me, it has been totally a brand new concept before I explored it these days. I think a majority of teachers in China have never heard of it, so I am motivated to write this blog to introduce the WebQuest to all language teachers globally. Therefore, there is a standard set of parts of a WebQuest: introduction, task, process, evaluation, and teacher page . Since a WebQuest is created by a teacher based on his/hers own teaching plan, th...

Quizlet ) can be used as a testing assistant while some tools (eg. Voki ) may work as a flavor of the class to bring happiness and enjoyment. When I was immersed in the excitement of exploring new things, one of these tools caught my eye, for amazingly I have used it in my real life! This tool is Kahoot , a very useful assistant in class which can not only test the students but also intrigue the students and arouse their interest.  (Try to click on the website names! You will find something new!) πŸ“‘ Description of Kahoot Kahoot is a free platform where teachers can make quizzes in an interesting and engaging way. Teachers can edit questions and answers in a selected question type, which can be multiple-choice questions, true-or-false questions, fill-in-the-blank questions, or sorting questions. After teachers finish creating the cours...
