Nearpod: real-time help through amazing interactive activities!

Image
Think back to the time when you were a student. What was the most common problem you encountered in the classroom? For me, I really suffered from sitting at the back of the classroom sometimes and not being able to see the whiteboard clearly. Occasionally, even if I got the chance to sit in the front of the classroom, I might still be bothered by the reflection spot on the screen or the lack of clarity of the equipment. This is when Nearpod should show up and solve all the problems! Now let's get into the world of Nearpod and experience something new! YouGlish: let's create a new way to learn vocabulary and practice speaking!

Image
What is the first thing you will do when you begin to teach a new unit in the textbook? In terms of my personal education experience, all my English teachers choose to teach vocabulary at the beginning of each unit, trying to lay a foundation  for student' future learning. However, the standard vocabulary teaching model in China is to include meanings and example sentences in the teaching material directly. Teachers' role is to explain the meaning and ask some students make new sentences. It is more like a passive way for the students to learn. This blog is going to present an effective way for the teachers to teach vocabulary in a new way! Plus, this tool could also assist the students in practice speaking! Now let get into the world of YouGlish.  (Click here to go to the official website of YouGlish) πŸ“‘  What is YouGlish? YouGlish can be viewed as a bank full of vedio resources spoken with native languages. Why do I use the word "native languages" rather than "

Stormboard: why not try to brainstorm together!

Image
It has been many weeks since I published my first blog. If you can see this one and decide to read it, I bet you really love my blogs and have checked many times to find something new! This time I am going to introduce an online collaboration tool called Stormboard .  You know what? I took part in many market competitions in my undergraduate period. I got exhausted from having meetings with team members for hours to discuss the themes of the advertising case planning. We raised our own ideas separately and then the other team members commented on the ideas until we got one theme that was acceptable to all the members. We didn't use any tools to record the discussion process or organize different ideas. When I look back at how we carried out the discussion, I found it a little bit hilarious because we were always in chaosπŸ˜‚. If I knew the existence of Stormboard at that time, we would have carried out the meetings in a smoother way. (Click here to go to the website and try it yours
